Eubank Takes The All Around at Cheyenne
November 1, 2007
Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, billed as the ‘Daddy of ‘Em All’, awarded the 2007 All Around title to Chad Eubank. This is the first time in 10 years that a rough stock rider has won the All Around title. Eubank bested all other cowboys by competing and placing in bareback riding and bull riding. “It doesn’t feel real yet,” Eubank said.
Eubank won $10,296 in bareback and bull riding at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Winning 3rd in the second round of the bareback put $2,700 in Eubank’s pocket. Adding $7,600 to that was Eubank’s hard work in the bull riding. He left Cheyenne winning the 2nd round and placing 9th overall in the bull riding.
Eubank is elated, “ Nothing compares to it (winning AA at Cheyenne). There is so much tradition, this means a lot”.
Eubank, one of Toughest Cowboy’s top five competitors in 2007, is a stand out on his own. Sporting grills with enough diamonds to rival an episode of MTV Cribs earning him the “Texas King of Bling” nickname. His arena antics also included dancing and flipping cartwheels.
The first person Eubank called? Toughest Cowboy Vice President of Events, Tommy Joe Lucia. “Everyone else already knew. Within 15 minutes of winning the title, the Dallas Morning News had called, so everyone knew!”
