Top cowboys from around the world  battle for a spot on the 2009 Toughest Cowboy tour

Denver, CO –Toughest Cowboy™ returns to the Mesquite Rodeo Arena on September 29th for two days of non-public intense roughstock competition. At the end of the two-day tryouts, 12 top all-around roughstock cowboys will be selected for the 2009 Toughest Cowboy 10-week season and live event tour.

In season two Toughest Cowboy did something no other rodeo competition had ever done — awarded its champion with his own ranch. The dream on owning a prime piece of ranch property has drawn a large number competitors to tryouts for season three. The roster includes inaugural season champion Bandy Murphy (Weatherford, OK), season two champion, Shane Proctor (Powell, WY) and two-time reserve champion Trey Broussard (Estherwood, LA). There is also some international talent including Mexican cowboy, Juan Crismas-Clark and Australians Cody Angland and Lance Kelly. Once again the Native Americans will have a strong contingency along with former competitor Nelson Tsosie comes Kenny Curley (both from the Dine Tribe) and JR Chino (Apache Tribe). These men, along with 50 others will put it all on the line for a spot on the 2009 season tour.

Toughest Cowboy tryouts are closed to the public. Have no fear; you can see how the final 12 made they way onto the tour when the 2009 season of Toughest Cowboy hits television. Special preview clips will be available right here at Toughest Cowboy.com.
